Our Wedding

Nicole and Kirk’s story began in August 2019. Nicole had just moved to Arizona that June and started working at Topgolf Scottsdale, where Kirk was the Operations Manager. The first time she saw him, she knew there was something special about him. She admired from afar while her best friend, Merissa, kept her grounded, often saying, “He has five kids and zero time for you and your shenanigans.”After a little over a year, Nicole left Topgolf—and decided to take a chance. She asked Kirk out on a date, but it wasn’t quite their time yet. Fast forward six months to May 2021 and a few flirty Instagram exchanges later, Kirk invited her out for a casual drink. That night, he kissed her for the first time, and from that moment on, they were inseparable.It didn’t take long for Kirk to fall in love with Nicole (really, what’s not to love?). They moved in together in March 2022 and have since built a life full of laughter, adventure, and resilience. From graduations and weddings to spontaneous weekend getaways and precious family time, they’ve shared countless memories—both joyful and challenging.Through it all, Nicole has been a steady source of peace and unwavering support for Kirk while Kirk has been a beautiful embodiment of understanding and constant love for Nicole. Together, they’ve learned that love isn’t just about the good times—it’s about standing strong through everything in between and choosing each other every day. Now, they’re grateful to celebrate their journey and this next milestone on their road to forever—with you.

Merissa and Nicole have been best friends since 2014, when Nicole first moved to Charlotte, NC. From the moment they met, their connection was instant and effortless. Their friendship is a blend of laughter, loyalty, and an unshakable sense of adventure — the kind that only deepens with time.

Merissa is a creative soul with a love for EDM, DIY projects, and her wife and soulmate, Lindsey. She brings boundless energy and heart to everything she does. Together, she and Nicole share a fun, free-spirited, and deeply caring bond — one rooted in kindness, laughter, and a shared joy for life. No matter where the years take them, they’ll always stay wild.

Merissa McKenzie

Ethan is Kirk’s second-born son — the outgoing, easygoing friend everyone hopes will show up to every gathering. A passionate sports fan and travel enthusiast, Ethan brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. He’s joined by his longtime girlfriend, Serenitee — his high school sweetheart and devoted companion through the years.

Elise is Kirk's eldest daughter and a newlywed herself, recently married to her high school sweetheart, Zane. Although she lives across the country from her dad and me in Florida, every moment we have with her is absolute joy. She's incredibly sweet and we only wish we could see her more often-which makes having her here to celebrate with us even more special.

Christopher is Kirk’s youngest son — a kindhearted and thoughtful young man with a gentle spirit. His passion for cars runs deep, and he dreams of turning that love into a lifelong career. Though he calls Arizona home, his warmth and compassion are felt by everyone who knows him, no matter the distance.

Cassandra is Kirk's youngest daughter, I'd describe her as an old soul with a heart of gold. She's wise beyond her years and it makes you forget how young she really is. No matter the moment, she always knows how to bring a smile to our faces.

Although, we as family have decided to stay at Beaches Negril please feel free to stay with us or at Sandals Negril. We ask that you stay at one of the two resorts so that you will not need to purchase a day pass to attend the festivities.

What is the dress code?Beach Cocktail(keep in mind the ceremony and reception will be outside and on sand so shoes are optional) Are children welcome?To allow all guests a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the reception. What will the weather be like?October in Jamaica is humid and in the high 80's during the day and in the mid 70's in the evening.	 Can I bring a plus one?Please no plus one's unless addressed on your invitation. When is the RSVP deadline?Please RSVP and book your room no later than July 1, 2026 Do I have to stay at Beaches?No, you do not have to stay at Beaches Negril. Sandals Negril is Adults-Only and right next door. We ask that you stay at one of the two properties so that you will not need to purchase a day pass to attend our wedding. Is there a gift registry?Our gift is your attendance and we so greatly appreciate you traveling to share in our special day. However, if you would like to, we have a honeymoon fund set up. Is transportation provided?There is transportation from the airport to the resort and back.
